This exercise is one of our favorites. It's fast (10 minutes or so), easy to administer, yet dramatically demonstrates the powerful synergies derived from people pooling their collective knowledge, skills, experience, and creativity. We frequently use it to kick off and energize team building sessions and training.

The exercise is a 1-page set of word puzzles that are so difficult that they can only be solved in the time allowed by people working together.
