The TEP yields an overall Team Effectiveness Score as well as separate scores for each of the five areas indicating the general health of the group and blockages that hinder team effectiveness.
Team Effectiveness Profile Learning Outcomes:
Identify issues that block effectiveness
Classify issues under problem headings
Reduce or eliminate problems that drain group energy
Maximize the group's productive efforts
The TEP has been designed to function as a self-administered learning instrument. Everything is contained in the booklet: directions for completion, the Inventory, scoring, and interpretation. Although there is no time limit imposed on the completion of the TEP, groups are usually finished responding to the items in 15-20 minutes. Individual scoring can be completed easily in 10 minutes. Development of the profile will vary, depending on the number of people that comprise the group.
The Team Effectiveness Profile consists of:
Participant Guide: 50-item profile with pressure-sensitive scoring, interpretive information, descriptions of the five team effectiveness dimensions, action planning, and a discussion guide. Sample questions

"I've used the TEP for almost 10 years to help teams at all levels identify strengths and weaknesses. Since it is scored by team members, there is never a question about biased or inaccurate results, and the normative data helps teams to see how they compare to others. Results that fall below the norms seem to act as a catalyst for team improvement.
I loved the TEP before, but I can't believe the new 4th Edition. It's design is cleaner and the facilitator resources are more extensive. A total package."
